Under the guidance of world renowned Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. C. Palanivelu Dr. Nilesh Junankar has toned & crafted my skills of Laparoscopy and he has done numerous advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries since then. Dr. Nilesh Junankar has undergone special training in Laparoscopic Colo-Rectal Surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital, Seoul, South Korea and training in Stapler Haemorrhoidectomy (MIPH – Minimally Invasive Procedure for Piles) at Singapore General Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Eu Kong Weng. This is the latest, sophisticated, simple and painless non operative procedure for piles. Recently he has acquired prestigious Fellowship of Association of Colo-Rectal Surgeons of India (FACRSI). Having qualification in Radiology, I am doing therapeutic Interventional procedures under Sonographic guidance. Dr. Nilesh Junankar has been practicing in Nagpur since 1995, as a General & Cancer Surgeon, Endoscopist & Laparoscopic Surgeon.He did his basic Medical Graduation (M.B.B.S.) from Government Medical College, Nagpur in 1987, completed his Diploma in Radiodiagnosis (D.M.R.D.) in 1990 and acquired Masters Degree in General Surgery (M.S.) from the same institute in 1993. Dr. Nilesh Junankar worked as a full time lecturer in Surgery in government Medical College, Nagpur, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur & Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur. Dr. Nilesh Junankar received residency training at Government Medical College, Nagpur, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, R.N. Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, K.B.Bhabha Hospital, Mumbai, L.T.M.M. Hospital, Sion, Mumbai and Madras Medical College, Chennai. He has also received residency training in Orthopedic Surgery and Cardiovascular Surgery.He has a Nursing Home & full fledged Operation Theater with modern equipments & gadgets at J.P. Chambers, Shradhanandpeth. Dr. Nilesh Junankar acquired Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery and Fellowship of AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India) under the guidance of world renowned Laparoscopic surgeon Dr. C. Palanivelu at Coimbtore and has got his Laparoscopic Centre inaugurated in 2004. Apart from routine Cholecystectomy & appendicectomy, Dr. Nilesh Junankar also performs Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries like Duodenal Perforation, Spleenectomy, Inguinal Hernia & Ventral Hernia. I am performing all these Surgeries with the help of world class equipments of Richard Wolfe, Germany & Olympus, Japan. Dr. Nilesh Junankar has also added Harmonic Scalpel (Johnson & Johnson) to his armantarium essential for advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries.He is doing Diagnostic and Therapeutic Gastrocopies with Olympus GIF-E Type II videoscope. Therapeutic endoscopy include Band Ligation Of Oesophogeal Varices, Injection Sclerotherapy, Stenting Of Oesophageal Malignancy & Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy.He is attached to Indira Gandhi Rugnalaya, Nagpur as a Honorary Consultant Surgeon. This hospital is run by Nagpur Municipal Corporation on charitable basis & caters to poor & needy patients. He has admission facilities at many reputed hospitals in Nagpur for critically ill patients.He also performs Gastroscopy, Laparoscopy Surgery & General Surgery at various Nursing homes on request
