A pediatric and preventive dentist by qualification, Dr. Urvi Mehta has completed her BDS from Government Dental College, Mumbai and MDS from Nair Dental College, Mumbai after securing an All India Rank 11 in her entrance exam. She chose pediatric dentistry because of her love for kids and desire to help them lead a better quality of life. Continuing her academic excellence, she was honored with a Gold Medal in the field of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry for standing First all across Maharashtra. She strongly believes in the holistic approach of treatment and continued learning and is a certified Oral Myofunctional Therapist (Myobrace, MRC Australia) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (American Heart Foundation, USA). Dr. Urvi has an extensive experience in preventive, restorative, pulpal treatment and interceptive orthodontics. She has treated 5,000+ patients since 2010, including many special cases of differently-abled children and cleft lip patients. Her aim in life is to have a zero-cavity population and hence, she works a lot on preventive aspect of dentistry. Apart from her full-time clinic, Smile Kingdom at Mahavir Nagar in Kandivali West, she is also a visiting pediatric dental consultant to 25+ private clinics and medical centers across Mumbai.
