Dr Tanvi Jakhi

Dr. Tanvi Jakhi MBBS, DNB (Radiodiagnosis) Fellowship (Breast Imaging) University of Toronto Dr. Tanvi Jakhi is the Founder of Mammocare. Dr.Jakhi is extremely passionate about the subspecialty of breast imaging. Under her guidance, Mammocare is one of the first private practices in Mumbai to perform digital mammography with tomosynthesis and image-guided needle biopsies in a comfortable and private environment. She has had a brilliant academic medical career having graduated (MBBS.,) from the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion hospital Mumbai. and has received her MBBS degree in 2002. After Completing her post graduate studies DNB in diagnostic radiology, Dr.Jakhi trained in Breast Imaging at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre. Her passion for this subject led her to pursue post-doctoral training as an international observer at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital (Evelyn Lauder Breast Centre), New York followed by a dedicated Clinical Fellowship in Breast imaging at the University Health Network, University of Toronto, Canada. She has previously been associated with P.D. Hinduja Hospital as an associate consultant and as consultant radiologist at the Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai. She has extensive experience in breast imaging and interventions including mammography, ultrasound and MR-guided biopsies and needle localizations. Dr.Jakhi has the unique distinction of performing all mammograms and breast interventions personally, which reflects in the exceptionally high-quality standard of care. She has several international publications to her credit and has been a faculty speaker at several conferences. She has lectured radiology residents and practicing radiologists on breast imaging and biopsy techniques, both nationally and internationally.
