Dr. Swati Allahbadia is a Consultant Gynaecologist practicing in Mumbai for the last 25 years.She completed her graduate and post graduate medical training at the KEM hospital and Seth G.S. Medical college and was the recipient of the V.N Mazumdar prize during the same period. She has wide ranging experience in every aspect of Gynaecology having worked in the Family planning area for two years, as Lecturer and then Associate Professor at the Sion Hospital-a teaching Hospital in Mumbai. She also served as Unit Chief and managed all manner of Obstetric and Gynaecologic emergencies and complicated cases during that time including life-saving procedures like obstetric hysterectomies, Internal Iliac artery ligations and surgeries for gynaecologic cancers. She carries out all fertility procedures like IUI, IVF, (Test Tube Baby), ICSI, Blastocyst transfer, PGD, semen and egg freezing, donor egg and donor sperm IVF and embryo adoption and low-cost IVF and management of PCOS and older women with low ovarian reserve. She holds a diploma in Gynaecologic endoscopy from Kiel. As the holder of the Hargobind fellowship, she trained in Endoscopic microsurgery at Milwaukee with Dr.Charles Koh and in Robotic surgery at Stanford with Dr. Camran Nezhat.She is a faculty member of the Aesculap Academy and has trained over a hundred doctors from India, other Asian and African countries in advanced endoscopic surgical techniques.She has carried out several endoscopic hysterectomies, and endoscopic removal of fibroids, endoscopic treatment for ovarian tumors and endometriosis. She is also experienced in doing difficult vaginal hysterectomies and managing post operative complications like vault prolapse and retention cysts. Besides, she is also experienced in pre marital and pre natal counseling, managing problems of menopausal women.
