Dr Namrata Adulkar

Dr Namrata Adulkar has extensive training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and has developed expertise in this field over the past 13 years. She has trained and worked with the surgeons in the world in her highly skilled subspecialty. Dr Adulkar graduated from the prestigious medical school in India: Seth G S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She completed her ophthalmology residency training from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, a center that has trained some of the finest eye surgeons in the country. After finishing residency, she pursued 2 years long fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic & reconstructive surgery & ocular oncology at Aravind eye hospital, Madurai under the mentorship of Dr Usha Kim. She was associated with Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore as faculty for 2 years and was involved actively in training junior ophthalmologists. She has trained for year with experts in field of oculoplastics, endoscopic and orbital surgery in Canada at the University of British Columbia. She has received advanced training in oculofacial aesthetics and cosmetic eyelid surgery at Moran Eye Center, Salt Lake city, Utah, USA. Dr Adulkar has performed numerous procedures and complex surgeries for reconstruction of eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit. She has also performed several cosmetic eyelid and facial surgeries. She has keen interest in academics and has a number of peer reviewed publications to her credit and has also presented her scientific work at many national and international conferences.
