Dr Maheshkumar Upasani

Dr. Maheshkumar Upasani is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist associated with the HCG Hospital in Chennai. He has done his MBBS from a renowned Medical College in Mumbai and later went on to specialize in oncology by completing his M. radiation oncology from a leading Cancer institute in Mumbai. Dr. Upasani worked as a senior resident and further honed his skills and expertise in a leading cancer care hospital in Maharashtra. He has had good exposure to conformal and high precision radiotherapy techniques like 3DCRT, IMRT, and IGRT. He also has worked on a wide range of treatment delivery systems including the LA and Tomotherapy. The doctor has also had good experience in brachytherapy, subsequently, he worked as an independent consultant in a hospital in Mumbai for one year. His area of special interest is Head and Neck, Breast Cancer and PET-CT based Radiotherapy planning. He is the active member of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India and Indian Medical Association.
