Dr Deepak Gupta

Dr. Deepak Kumar has done his MBBS from GOMCO, Patiala in 1988 and Diploma in Ophthalmology (Gold Medalist) with distinction from Manipal in 1996. He has a vast experience of 18 years in the field of Ophthalmology with multiple innovations and presentations to his credit and was working with Centre for Sight, Ludhiana before joining Fortis. He was awarded the Rulia Ram Memorial Gold Medal for the Best Outgoing student in 1996 and is also an IIRSI Gold Medal awardee. He has also done a fellowship in Phaco from Eye research centre, Chennai. Regarding his accolades, he is Ambidextraus Phaco surgeon and the first eye surgeon in Ludhiana to do intra lase: the femto second lasik laser procedure, first eye surgeon to do ICL (Implantable Contact Lens), first and the only eye surgeon in Ludhiana to do accommodative IOL till date. He has been performing complex cataract, glaucoma and squint surgeries since 1996.
