Dr Vinita Das is a renowned fertility specialist consulting at Birla Fertility & IVF, Lucknow. She has a rich experience of over 40 years in the field of ART. Dr Das is a pioneer specialist who has the credit of introducing IVF treatment in the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) by establishing the first IVF facility. Her areas of expertise include infertility & reproductive health, IVF, IUI, High-risk pregnancy management, PCOS treatment, antenatal ultrasounds and treatment of recurrent IUI & IVF failures. Dr Vinita Das is highly recognised nationally and internationally for her skill set and knowledge. She has previously worked with several esteemed healthcare institutions, across the globe. She has worked in the High-Risk Pregnancy Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital, UT Southwestern medical centre Dallas, Texas (USA) and served as a travelling scholar at Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit, St George’s Hospital, London (UK). She has also visited Infertility Units at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Liverpool women’s Hospital, Bristol University, in UK in an exchange program. Dr Das has also extended her expertise to bring policy changes in women healthcare in India by working closely with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. She has served as a reputed member in various ethical committees like SGPGI, UPCST, CSIR CDRI and is a life member of several national scientific organisations. Dr Vinita Das completed her graduation and postgraduation in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Medical College Lucknow. She has been honoured with the “Hewett Gold Medal” while she was pursuing MBBS along with other silver and gold medals. In the span of over four decades, she has been awarded various national awards including the Bharat Gaurav Award, Bhartiya Nari Samman, Kirti Sri Samman, DIPSI National Award for GDM National Guidelines, Lord of Planet Award, Legend of FOGSI Excellence award. Dr Das has contributed to medical research by offering her insights to more than 150 publications in national and international scientific journals. She is also credited with more than 80 national & international research projects as PI and Co-PI. She has also received a variety of fellowships at a national and international level. Some of the prominent fellowships include the ICOG fellowship, FIGO Travel Fellowship Award, ALARM Canadian Fellowship, Women Deliver Fellowship at Washington.
