Dr.Prashant is a Consultant Ophthalmologist. After completing M.B.B.S from Burdwan Medical College and post graduation in ophthalmology ( MS ( Ophthalmology), he went on for a long-term fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya ( a unit of the Medical research foundation, Chennai ). After completing the fellowship , he worked at Sankara Nethralaya as a consultant for 5 years. He is proficient in medical and surgical management of difficult and challenging cases of cataract, glaucoma and anterior segment surgeries. He is a very experienced and skilful cataract surgeon (has performed more than 10000 eye surgeries ) and an expert in performing all types of cataract surgeries under topical anaesthesia (absolutely painless procedure performed without any injection). Dr.Prashant is proficient in managing complex glaucoma cases , all forms of glaucoma surgeries including paediatric glaucoma cases and glaucoma drainage devices. He is a renowned Guest speaker and instructor in different glaucoma forum. .
