Dr. Harjeet Singh did his MBBS from Imphal, Manipur University in 1979 and MS in Ophthalmology from PGIMER Chandigarh in 1985. He continued as the Senior resident for 3 years after post graduation in the same institute till 1988. He is in private practice since 1988 at Vohra Eye & Dental Clinic, Bhowanipore, Kolkata. He is a consulting Eye Surgeon with Eye Pavilion, Dr. G K Saraf Eye Center where he works as a retinal specialist since 1988. He has been doing DFA, ARGON Laser, YAG Laser and LIO at the center since 1988. He is Associate Professor, Ophthalmology dept at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital & Seva Pratisthan, Sarat Bose Road Kolkata since 2011. He specializes in Anterior Segment, Medical Retina. He regularly conducts cataract surgeries with Phaco Emulsification and SICS and is Laser specialist at Eye Pavilion. He also handles Glaucoma, Oculoplastic, and Lacrymal Sac surgeries. He conducts free eye surgery camps with various NGOs at Prem Milan Free eye care center Kolkata where he has already completed 12000 IOL surgeries to date. He also does free surgeries at Bansal Nursing Home Howrah under the aegis of his Rotary Club. During last five years, he has been done annually 1000 plus cataract surgeries with IOL implantation in Kolkata and its suburbs. He has also done free IOL surgery camp at Para, Purulia, and at Mayawati, Uttarakhand with Ramakrishna Mission.
