General Medicine from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, and D.M in Clinical Hematology from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He has worked as a Resident in the department of General Medicine at S.M.S Medical College & Hospital Jaipur, Rajasthan from 2001 to 2004. He had to post in General Medical wards, outpatient departments and rotational specialty posting in Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Accident Emergency and Intensive Care Units. During M.D., training he also had various teaching activities like journal clubs, seminars, case discussions, undergraduate teaching activities. In September 2008, he was working as a Senior Registrar. This involved diagnosing and treating patients with hematological diseases including hematological malignancies, administration of chemotherapy and rational administration of blood components. Practical experience was obtained in performing specialized procedures such as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, splenic aspirates, lumbar puncture, insertion of central venous catheters, pleural fluid aspiration, ascitic fluid tapping, phlebotomies and exchange transfusions. At ACTREC transplant center he had learned about transplant work up, stem cell mobilization, stem cell collection, cryopreservation and various other transplant-related blood bank procedures. Various stem cell transplants like autologous matched related, matched unrelated, cord and haploidentical transplants.
