Having done his M Ch from AIIMS, Delhi, Dr. Sunil K Kaushal is the key authority in pediatric cardiac surgery in India with an experience of over 4000 surgeries of various congenital and pediatric heart condition With a rich experience of 24 years in pediatric cardiac surgery. Dr. Kaushal was recognized as the best doctor of Rajasthan in Cardiac Surgery in the first Rajasthan Healthcare award by Times of India in 2014. He also received the 'Young Achiever Chikitsa Bhushan' from the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and the award for Outstanding surgeon on Rajasthan in 2012 by Medical Practitioner Society of Rajasthan. He has many firsts to his credit which includes 2 of World's first cases, 2 were first in India and over 4 of Rajasthan's first cases including ALCAPA surgery and Rajasthan's first interrupted Aortic Arch Repair. Under his leadership the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery achieved India's landmark record of maintaining zero 30 days surgical mortality for 2 years continuously. He was the key doctor to establish two fully committed pediatric cardiac surgical units in North India including Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur and Fortis Escorts Hospital, Okhla, New Delhi. Dr. Kaushal has done specialized training from Royal Children Hospital, University of Melbourne, Australia; Cleveland Clinic Foundation & UCSF, USA and Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto.
