Dr. Tulika Tayal is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine ( MFM) Consultant. She has advanced knowledge of obstetrics, Fetal Medicine and Genetics . She uses this combined knowledge for the care of Mother and Fetus . She provides antenatal consultations for high risk pregnancies eg Preclampsia , IUGR , Twin pregnancies , Rh isoimmunization , Fetal infections and medical disorders of Pregnancies . She provides Co - Management for high risk pregnancies with your local obstetricians and you can choose to deliver With your local obstetrician . If there is a need to deliver at tertiary care centre , She can guide and coordinate delivery at Rainbow Birthright . She runs prenatal joint clinic with Senior Geneticist to offer you Prepregnancy planning and Prenatal Diagnosis via amniocentesis in cases of previous pregnancies affected with any genetic disorder . She is extremely skilled and can perform various Fetal interventions like Intrauterine transfusion in cases of fetal anaemia or selective Fetal reductions in cases of Multiple pregnancy complications or interstitial laser therapy in complex fetal conditions . She works in close association with Neonatologists and other Paediatric sub specialists to manage complex fetal conditions. She contributed in various research projects nationally and Internationally and was involved in the first clinical study on NIPT ( Non Invasive Prenatal Screening ) in India . She does screening for chromosomal abnormalities , screening for Preclampsia , Screening for preterm delivery ,Anomaly scan and growth and Dopplers scan according to Fetal Medicine Foundation UK standards .
