Dr Shakira Shakoor

Dr. Shakira joined the Obstetric Team at Fernandez Hospital in January 2011. From 1984 to 2010 she was a Gynaecological Consultant in Medina Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She started her Obstetrics and Gynaecology career in 1980 in Hyderabad and then worked in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Shakira has ultrasound training in obstetrics and gynaecology. Her surgical experience includes instrumental vaginal deliveries and LSCS, laparotomies for gynaecological acute abdomen, myomectomies, perineal repair and abdominal hysterectomies. Dr. Shakira used to conduct regular lectures in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Medina Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She has also been involved in Perinatal Mortality meetings. She has attended several symposia and delivered many lectures.
