Dr Sanjay Sinha is Consultant Urologist and Transplant Surgeon practicing for the last 21 years. He has a specific interest in minimally invasive urology including percutaneous and retrograde stone removal, laser prostatectomy, female urology, urodynamics and neurogenic bladder. He did his MBBS and MS from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University where he had the first rank at the university with 8 distinctions and the Best Student Award. He later did his training in Urology at the SGPGIMS, Lucknow in 1995. Dr Sinha has extensive experience in minimally-invasive Stress Incontinence Surgery and regularly demonstrates this surgery at operative workshops for urologists. He is widely recognized as an authority on lower urinary tract dysfunction in the Urological Fraternity and is a regular teaching faculty for the Urological Society of India, the ICS and IUGA. He has extensive experience in the removal of complex kidney stones by minimally invasive methods. Dr Sinha has conducted several workshops both at the national level and internationally. Dr Sinha is a recipient of the National Talent Scholarship, NCERT in 1981 and had the First Rank at the All India 12th Standard Board Examination ISC in 1983. He was a recipient of the Bard Scholarship in Urology in 1994 and was awarded the Best Paper Award of the Urological Society of India in 2005. He was awarded the Best Reviewer Award by the Indian Journal of Urology in 2011. He is on the Editorial Board of the International Urogynecology Journal, the Indian Journal of Urology and Current Bladder Dysfunction Reports and was a member of the Urological Society of India Panel on Bladder Cancer Guidelines in 2008. He was recently appointed Convener for the First National Urological Society of India Guideline on Urinary Incontinence.
