Dr S. Bala Ram Babu

Dr. Bala Ram Babu Sanka is one of the very few trained Sexual Medicine Specialists in India. He received extensive training at prestigious Oxford University, the UK in the field of Sexual Medicine. He is also a Diplomate in Clinical Sexology from American Board. Dr. BR is also a Post-Doctoral Fellow in HIV Medicine. After finishing his medical schooling Dr.BR worked for many highly acclaimed scientific bodies. Few of them were- World Health Organization, President Bill Clinton’s Foundation, UNICEF etc. For a short period, Dr. BR worked as a clinical associate with Dr. Ajit Saxena, Head of the Department, Andrology, Indraprastha Apollo, N.Delhi and with Dr. D. Narayana Reddy in the Dept of Sexual Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and at Dega Institute, Chennai, India. Dr. BR is presently working as a Consultant, Department of Sexual Medicine at Medwin Hospitals and Image Hospitals, Hyderabad, India. His current clinical interests are Unconsummated marriages, male and female hypoactive sexual desire, anorgasmia, sexual deviations, Andropause and late onset hypogonadism, Erectile Dysfunction /Impotence, Premature Ejaculation, premarital sexual counseling, sex therapy for couples etc. Dr. BR’ s scientific and research interests are Secondary hypogonadism in men working in BPOs in night shifts; Study of Prevalence and Spectrum of Sexual Dysfunctions in People Living with HIV/AIDS.
