She performed nearly 10,000 cataract surgeries (mainly phaco emulsification method) and also several refractive surgeries. She worked as an Ophthalmologist at Sadhuram eye hospital, Hyderabad, for nearly 4 years, where she performed nearly 2000 cataract surgeries and also some complicated eye procedures. She later moved to Kishore chand Chordia eye hospital, Hyderabad, affiliated to L.V. Prasad eye institute, Hyderabad and performed nearly 1000 surgeries there also. Dr. Padma completed MBBS from S.V Medical college, Tirupati, followed by M.S in Ophthalmology from Kurnool Medical college.
