DR SIDHARTH SONTHALIA, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FISD is a Dermatologist, Dermatosurgeon, Venereologist, Trichologist and Cosmolaser expert. Following his MBBS (with Honours and Delhi Medical Association Gold Medal for Best Medical Graduate of University in 2003) from the prestigious University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, Dr Sidharth completed his MD and Senior Registrarship from the same institution. He obtained Diplomate of National Board (DNB) followed by Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) in 2009 and ’10 respectively. Amongst the many awards and recognitions earned by Dr Sidharth, a few are - Young Dermatologists Forum (YDF) Award at DERMAZONE 2008 (Delhi), as well as YDF Award at DERMACON-2009 (Bangalore), International Society of Dermatology (ISD) travel fellowship to ICD-2009 in Prague, CSIR-scholarship to present paper at World Congress of Dermatology in Korea, Imrich-Sarkany Scholarship from European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology (EADV) to attend and present at EADV congress in Lisbon and ISD-funded fellowship-cum-scholarship in Dermatosurgery and Cosmetology in Tehran in 2012. He also received the Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists & Leprologists (IADVL) scholarship to present his research paper at the recently concluded World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), June 2015 in Vancouver, Canada. He has to his credit more than 40 publications in national & International peer-reviewed indexed journals and than 10 chapters in Textbooks on UG and PG teaching of Dermatology. He has presented research papers and has been an invited faculty to deliver lectures and provide hands-on-training sessions on various topics including chemical peels and lasers at national as well as international conferences including DERMACONS, ICD, WCD, EADV and ASPCR. Apart from being reviewer for various journals, he has been the Assistant Editor of Journal of Cutaneous & Aesthetic Surgery from 2011-12. Currently he is the Assistant Editor of the journal PIGMENT INTERNATIONAL and is on the editorial board of the JOURNAL OF COSMETOLOGY & TRICHOLOGY. He is also the Treasurer and Founder member of Pigmentary Disorders Society (PDS) and Founder Member of Nail Society of India (NSI). He also has to his credit the organization of various conferences devoted to Pigmentary dermatology, nail disorders, lasers and cosmetology. He is a pioneer in the diagnostic technique of DERMOSCOPY - the latest non-invasive diagnostic technique for skin, hair and nail disorders. His name has now been included in the 2014 edition of Marqui’s Who’s Who in The World! Despite the constraints of private practice, he toils to maintain his academic acumen with his professional motto in mind which is to have a truly “Academic Private Practice”.
