Dr Dilip Dutta

Dr. Dilip Dutta is an experienced neurosurgeon based in Howrah and Kolkata, West Bengal. He has more than 9 years of specialized working experience in the field of Neuro Surgery. He has been trained at various premiere institutes in India and abroad. After completing his MBBS from North Bengal Medical College in 2004, he pursued postgraduate training in surgery from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGME&R) SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. Later he started his training in neurosurgery under the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi which was followed by a specialized Clinical Fellowship from the Prestigious King’s College Hospital, London, U.K. He was awarded membership of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) in 2012. Now he is attached to Narayana Superspeciality and Mutispeciality Hospital, Howrah as a Consultant Neurosurgeon. Professional experience - During his fellowship in neurosurgery at the prestigious Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Dutta was involved in the unit of advanced neuro oncology and functional and stereotactic neurosurgery for movement disorders and complex epilepsy surgery. He has performed several cases of brain tumor surgeries and resective complex epilepsy surgery using Intra Operative Neural Monitoring (IONM), Fluorescent microscopy and dye, stereotactic localization and pre (TMS)and intra operative cortical mapping. Dr Dutta has also performed several cases of vagal nerve stimulator (VNS), Deep brain stimulation (DBS) using O-arm and depth electrode placement using the Neuromate Robot. He has also performed in complex spine surgeries, percutaneous spinal fixation, neurovascular procedures using indocyanine green (ICG) microscopy and endoscopic procedures.
