Dr Murtaza A Chishti

Dr Chishti is backed by years of thorough medical education and training. He completed MBBS from the University of Kashmir, FMGEMS from USA and PLAB from United Kingdom. He comes with a rich reserve of overseas work experience, including cardio thoracic fellowships in St. Mary's hospital, Milwaukee, USA, Royal Perth Hospital Perth, Australia and Prince Henry and Prince Wales Hospitals in Sydney Australia. At home, he held several important and prominent positions like Chief Consultant and Associate Professor in Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology and Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Fortis-Escorts New Delhi, among others. He has been conferred with several awards and honors. He was awarded by the Society of Heart Failure and Transplant( SHfT) in recognition of his Contributions in Thoracic Organ Transplant in India at Kochi in 2016. He was awarded by Heart Failure 360 at 3rd Annual Conference in appreciation of Contribution as faculty in 2017. Further, he has been honoured by the Govt of Rajasthan under CM Vasundra Raje with the “Certificate of Excellence” for distinguished work in Organ Transplantation His interest in academic activity is clearly evident with his published works in the Journal of Evolution of Medical and Dental Sciences (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Patients with poor LV Function: Early Results) and Journal of Evidence Based Medical and Health Care (Organic Tricuspid Valve Repair: A single Center Results) He specialises in Complex and re-operative coronary Surgery, Total Arterial Re-vascularisation and Surgery of the Aorta. He has special interest in Heart and Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support.
