Dr Ashutosh Shukla

Dr. Ashutosh Shukla is working as the Director and Head of the Department of Medicine, Artemis Hospitals, Delhi NCR. He is responsible for the overall administration of the Medicine department which includes analysis & performance of the department as per the business plan and conducting medical audits on a regular basis. He manages patients in the OPD, IPD, ICU and Emergency conforming to the latest evidence based guidelines. Additionally, he is also the Program director of the post graduate DNB teaching program and in-charge of the Preventive Health-check Program at Artemis Hospitals. He joined Max healthcare in 2000 as a founder team member and worked as a Senior Consultant Internal Medicine at Max healthcare, Saket, New Delhi, where he launched the path breaking Preventive Healthcare Program and received the Chairman’s award for outstanding performance. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Shukla did his MBBS and MD (Medicine) from Delhi University - Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. He has a post MD work experience of 25 yrs at premier tertiary care hospitals in NCR Delhi. He was selected by External Affairs Ministry, Govt. of India for a deputation to Nepal as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from ’96 to ’99. Dr. Shukla has published many scientific papers and has organized Continuing Medical Education programs. He trained at Stanford Medical School and San Francisco General Hospital for advanced training in Medicine in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Dr. Shukla’s quest to keep updated with the most recent advances in Medicine took him to Harvard Medical School for their Comprehensive Board Review in 2010. He also trained in the Hospital Management Program from IIM Ahmedabad in 2012.
