I served as a Junior/Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate at BRD Medical College, and worked as a full-time ophthalmologist with Indian Railways from 1989 until my retirement in March 2016. Post-retirement, I served in various corporate hospitals in Varanasi and Prayagraj.
