Dr Saket Goel

Dr. Saket Goel is a Senior Surgeon practicing in New Delhi since 2000. 3 years Senior Residency at Maulana Azad Medical College and associated Lok Nayak Hospital & Superspeciality GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. During his training period, he has worked with dozens of surgery and gained extensive experience in the art of surgery. This strong foundation enables him to handle the most complicated surgical cases. Subsequently, he worked in premium hospitals of South Delhi including Max Superspeciality Hospital, Moolchand, and PSRI Hospital, New Delhi. In 2004, he joined Indraprastha Apollo Hospital as a consultant in the Department of Surgery (General, Gastrointestinal, Minimal Access, Bariatric & Robotic ). In 2005, he went to the University of Heidelberg, Germany to do 1-month clinical observership under Dr. Buchler & Dr. Freiss who are world renowned for Pancreatic Surgery and are European Referral Centre for Pancreatic Cancer. He performed the varied spectrum of surgeries which includes open basic to complicated gastrointestinal surgeries (including Gastro Onco.) Minimal Access Surgery accounts for major part of the surgical load and includes basic to advanced(Bariatric). Minimal Access Surgeries performed till date : Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic Hernia Repair – Inguinal, Ventral, Laparoscopic Appendicectomy, Bariatric Surgery – Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Liver Hydatid Cyst, Laparoscopic Bowel surgery – Anterior resection, APR, Rectal Prolapse, Laparoscopic Gastric Surgery – Hellers Myotomy, Fundoplication, GIST, Laparoscopic Gynaecology- Ovarian Cyst, Endometriosis, Ectopic, Diagnostic Laparoscopy, Laparoscopic Lymph Node Biopsy, HALS Surgery for Colorectal Cancer & Robotic Surgery. Teaching the DNB - General Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology is an important task. He actively involved in the thesis of the DNB candidates. He also actively involved in the organizing of CMEs in the hospital - reducing surgical complications, Minimal Access Surgery, Colorectal Cancer- latest approach, Ulcerative Colitis (to name a few) He keeps himself up to date by regularly attending the conferences, operative workshops, and CMEs.
