Dr S P Garg

Dr. S.P Garg, MD (AIIMS), MNAMS, is a renowned, internationally acclaimed vitreo-retina and uvea specialist. He has been the professor and head of the vitreo-retina and uvea services at the Dr. RP Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has been a prolific vitreoretinal surgeon and has been handling medical ophthalmology and uvea services, tackling complicated retina cases for the last 30 years at the RP Centre. He has to his credit over 100 publications in the National and International journals in the field of retina and uvea. He has been the only FDA (USA) approved investigator carrying out 6 international drug trials and has been part of international studies which established the role of important drugs and devices like Ozurdex, Retisert for diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, and vasculitis. He has been professor-in-charge of academics and teaching at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the premier institute for Ophthalmology and the apex center for National Program for control of blindness.
