Dr H. C. Pathak

Dr Harish Chandra Pathak is working at Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi as Associate Director in the department of neurosurgery with an experience in the field of surgery of over 36 years. He has vast experience in the field of Neurosurgery and has expertise in Aneurysm and Vascular Neurosurgery, Pituitary Surgery, Endoscopic Brain and Spine Surgeries, Skull Base Tumor Surgeries, Pediatric Brain and Spine Anomalies, Cervical Disc Replacement, lumbar disc surgeries and various Spinal Fusion procedures. He has special training in Gamma Knife Surgery from University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, Pittsburgh, USA and has vast experience in treating patients with Gamma Knife Surgery, Stereotactic Surgery and Functional Neurosurgery while working in Army Hospital (R & R) New Delhi. Besides this he has extensive experience in treating Craniocerebral and Spinal Trauma patients while working in various neurosurgical centres of Armed Forces. He retired from armed forces medical services as Professor and Head Neurosurgery at Armed Forces medical college Pune and at Army hospital (R & R) New Delhi. He did his MCh Neurosurgery from PGIMER Chandigarh and has got total Post graduate teaching experience of over 21 years. He is an active member of NSI, DNA and NSSI. He has also co-authored several publications related to neurosurgery. Dr. Pathak was awarded VishishthSeva Medal (VSM) by the President of India for distinguished and meritorious services rendered at Army Hospital (R & R) New Delhi in year 2012.
