Specialist training and certification in Anatomic pathology from Mt Sinai Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, USA Specialist training in Dermatopathology from Boston University Medical Centre, Boston, Mass, USA Specialist degrees: Diplomate, American Board of Pathology, USA Diplomate, American Board of Pathology & Dermatology in Dermatopathology, USA Dr Kubba's laboratory is dedicated to providing high quality diagnostic service in diseases of the "SKIN, HAIR , Nails and MUCOSA". In addion to routine light microscopy, Immunoflouresence based test for bullous diseases and Immunohistochemistry are performed. Services provided are : Biopsy : Skin biopsy; Scalp biopsy for alopecia (hair loss); Mucosal (Oral/Genital), blister biopsy Immunopathology : Bullous diseases: Pemphigus, Pemphigoid, Lupus erythematosus, are diagnised by Direct immunofluorescence; Indirect immunofluorescence including salt spilt skin; Diagnosis of Congenital Epidermolysis bullosa is carried out by "Antigen mapping " technique. Blood test for Pemphigus: DSG1 & DSG3: Circulating antibodies are used for initial diagnosis and follow up cases of Pemphigus.
