Chest/rib pain with breathlessness
2 Months agoMy father has been experiencing pain in the upper abdomen and rib cage area for the past 3–4 days. The pain is located between the ribs, just above the stomach. He is also experiencing episodes of breathlessness, a feeling of heaviness in the chest, and occasional spikes in blood pressure. The pain is not clearly related to movement and sometimes occurs along with difficulty in breathing. We are concerned whether this could be related to a heart issue, lung problem, or something gastrointestinal. Please advise what could be the possible cause and what immediate steps we should take.
