Trained and worked in the uk for 8 years , in various subspecialities of psychiatry such as genaral adult and old age psychiatry, learning disability psychiatry, addictions psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Since return to india in august 2008, has been working as consultant at apollo speciality and venkateswara hospital, chennai. Also worked as Panel psychiatrist for usa immigration applicants based at apollo heart centre for about 5 years till 2015. Have experience in treating depression, mania, psychosis including schizo phrenia, anxiety spectrum of disorders, sleep disorders emotional and behavioural problems in children and adolescents , dementias, alcohol and drug abuse problems and stress related problems. Believes in empathised treatment of patients.
