Dr M Kumar

Dr. M. Kumar graduated from Coimbatore Medical College, Coimbatore and completed his postgraduate in pediatrics from the Institute of child health & hospital for children, Egmore Chennai. He then joined as a consultant pediatrician at Vijaya hospital, Vadapalani Chennai in the department of pediatrics & neonatology under Dr. S.Jayam, the doyen of neonatology in the year 2000. He took in charge of level iii neonatal unit and simultaneously working as a consultant at S.P. Hospital Adambakkam, Chennai. Subsequently, he did his super specialty course neonatology by diplomate of a national board at Vijaya hospital from 2007 – 2010 under the guidance of Dr.S.Jayam & Dr.J.Kumutha who is leading neonatologist and presently HOD department of neonatology institute of child health & hospital for children, Chennai. After heavenly abode of Dr. S.Jayam, he joined Sahisnatha trust founded by her as a senior consultant which is functioning at Madras medical mission, Mogappair, Chennai. He worked there until January 2014. He is national faculty for training doctors in neonatal advanced life support (nails). He had attended many times and conferences held in various parts of India for updating and refining knowledge in newborn care. He has a special interest in managing low birth weight and high-risk babies and their follow-up.
