  • These include lesions in coronary, renal carotid, aortic and peripheral arteries. Till date, completed more than 5000 coronary interventions and 500 peripheral interventions, more than 300 mitral, pulmonary valvuloplasties, 600 pacemaker implantations, PD

  • Recipient of Highest Civil award from Ministry of Railway in 1987-1988 in recognition of services rendered for the development of Cardiology dept and for pioneering invasive and interventional procedures at Southern Railway Hospital, Perambur.

  • Recipient of Dr. D. P. Basu award from cardiology society of India in 1987-1988 for performing and reporting primary angioplasty in evolving myocardial infarction (The first Indian to perform and report the results in Indian Heart Journal).

  • Recipient of Best Citizen of India award in the year 2000 from the International Publishing House, New Delhi. Best Doctor Award for “Life Time Achievement in the Field Of Cardiology” from Dr. MGR Medical University
