Karthika R Nair is RCI licensed Clinical Psychologist who has completed her M.phil in Clinical Psychology from Amritha Institute of Medical Science, Kochi, Kerala and M.Sc in Applied Psychology with Clinical Psychology specialisation from Pondicherry Central University. She has good clinical practice & experience involving psychological assessment (Intelligence, Learning Disability, Personality, Psychopathology, Neuropsychological profiling) and psychotherapy. She has worked on children, adolescents and adults with various mental health disorders including Mood disorders such as Depression, Mania etc., Anxiety Spectrum Disorders such as OCD, GAD, Specific Phobia, Panic disorder etc., Substance Abuse Disorder, Psychotic disorders, Personality Disorders, Childhood Disorders, Neurodevelopmental disorders and Neurocognitive disorders. She is trained extensively in various psychotherapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Therapy (BT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Marital and Family Therapy, Inter Personal Therapy (IPT), Brief Therapies, Drug Abuse and DeAddiction Therapy, Personality Disorder Treatment, Stress Management, Anger Management, Therapy for Affective and Emotional Difficulties, Therapies for Child and Adolescent Problems such as ADHD, ASD, SLD etc., Parental Counselling and Neurocognitive Retraining and Rehabilitation. She worked at Manomithra Institute of Medical Sciences as consultant Clinical Psychologist and later worked with Cancer patients at Health Care Global (HCG), Bangalore as Neuro-Psycho-Oncologist. Her objective is to help people the best possible way to overcome stress and problems by exploring about their psychological deficits and applying psychological therapies, thus to help them deal with stressful situations and make them mentally stronger to lead a mindful life.
