Dr. Vishal Rao has vast experience in the field of Oncology and Head & Neck Surgery and has been trained in Oncology at one of the most prestigious cancer institutes of India, Tata Memorial Hospital at Mumbai. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Otolaryngology in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, USA, a Consultant at the Institute of Public Health and a Director of the Cancer Prevention and Tobacco Control Project with W.H.O Tobacco Free Initiaves partners . The other positions held by Dr. Vishal Rao are: Member of the Union for International Cancer control (UICC) Globalink – Global Tobacco Control; a Member of National Executive Committee for the Foundation of Head and Neck Oncology (FHNO); Executive Board Member of the State Association for Otolaryngology – Head Neck Surgery, Karnataka and a Member of the Action Council against Tobacco (ACT) – India. Dr. Vishal has attended various national and international conferences and CME in which he has held the position of a distinguished guest many times. He has also published many medical journal publications of both national and international standards. He has also been a reviewer for many international medical journals. Dr. Vishal Rao has always taken up social initiatives, especially on tobacco-awareness and dreams of a tobacco-free world.
