Dr Vijay Agarwal

Dr. Vijay Agarwal is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist with over 16 years of experience in Oncology. Prior to joining Aster CMI Hospital he was working as a Consultant in Medical Oncology at HEalthcare Global Enterprises (HCG) and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK. Having completed his training in Medicine (MD) at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, he travelled to England to specialise in Medical Oncology and worked in various prestigious institutes such as the Royal Marsden Hospital, London; Kings College Hospital, London, Leeds teaching Hospital, Leeds and Queens Centre for Oncology, Hull, and completed his MRCP and Specialist training in oncology (CCT). Due to his keen interest in Medical research, he took some time out and devoted himself to cancer research which led to the award of a PhD by Hull York Medical School, UK. He has authored various papers that have been published in peer reviewed international journals and he has presented at conferences around the world. He specialises in delivering chemotherapy, targeted therapy and Immunotherapy in solid tumours and strongly believes in practicing evidence based medicine with patient centered approach. He keeps himself abreast with the latest developments in Oncology and aspires to deliver the best possible treatment and care to all his patients.
