Dr Thirumalesh MB, completed his Basic medical education from Bangalore medical college. He completed his post-graduation & Retina training at the Dr Rajendra Prasad centre for ophthalmic sciences, All India institute of medical sciences (New Delhi).He was conferred a fellowship in surgical Retina, FAICO by the Collegium of the all india ophthalmic society in 2013 His area of interests include Minimally invasive vitreous surgery (MIVS), Scelral buckling, surgical macular disorders (ERM, VMT and Mcaular holes), Diabetic retinopathy, Tractional retinal detachments, vascular occlusions and choroidalneovascular membrane .
