Dr Suresh Raghavaiah

Trained at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA, Dr Suresh Raghavaiah is a Liver and Pancreas specialist and a Multi-organ Transplant Surgeon. After his General Surgical training from St Johns Medical College, Bangalore he undertook a Minimally Invasive Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgical fellowship from L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Paris. Pursuing his interest in Immunology, he completed a Post Doc research fellowship in Transplant Immunology form Mayo Graduate School and was thereafter selected to complete the Abdominal Multi-organ Transplant Fellowship at Mayo Clinic. After returning to India, He was instrumental in setting up and successfully leading the HPB and Liver Transplant Units at two hospitals (Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana and BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore). His team has also performed the maximum number of Pancreas transplants in the state and third highest in India. Dr Suresh Raghavaiah is a HPB and Multi-organ Transplant Surgeon currently associated with Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore with expertise in Liver, Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation. He is also a specialist in treating liver diseases (Hepatitis, Jaundice, Cirrhosis, Portal Hypertension, Liver Cancer and Neuroendocrine tumors), Gallbladder and Biliary diseases (GB Stones, Cholecystitis, Gallbladder Cancer, Cholangio-Carcinoma) and Pancreas Disorders (Pancreatitis, Pancreas Cancer).
