Graduated at the top of her class from the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (2005 Batch).She has received extensive training in India, the USA, and Europe in the areas of Dermatological Lasers, Pigmentation treatment, Acne treatment, Skin Rejuvenation and Anti-ageing medicine (Botox, Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peels, Dermarollers, PRP rejuvenation etc). Besides disorders of the skin, she is also experienced in the treatment of diseases affecting the scalp, hair, nails, mouth (not including gums and teeth), and skin ailments affecting the genitalia. She has worked with acclaim at all the leading Multispecialty hospitals in and around Whitefield (Columbia Asia Hospital Whitefield, Narayana Health Multispeciality Hospital Whitefield, and Yashomati Hospital). Dr. Sunaina has authored articles and chapters in many national and international journals as well as medical texts and magazines. She has also presented award-winning papers and invited lectures at medical conferences across the nation. She is a dedicated and experienced dermatologist, aesthetic physician, laser physician, writer, and orator. She is a firm believer in ethical and good clinical practice. She only works with approved and evidence-based treatments rather than populist, media and salon-hyped treatments. She has undergone two certification courses under IAAD (Indian Academy of Aesthetic Dermatology). She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery, which is the highest level of certification in the world on the use of dermatological lasers. Although the Board was founded in 1984, Dr. Hameed is the first Indian dermatologist to be awarded the prestigious Diplomate. She writes monthly medical columns for Society Magazine (Gulf Times, Qatar) and Madhyamam Kudumbam Family Magazine.
