Dr Shilpa Sasidharan

Dr. Shilpa Sasidharan has completed her Masters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Meenakshi Dental College and Hospital, Chennai in 2012. She has the aptitude in handling road traffic accident victims, sports injury patients and physical abuse victims as she is trained in Basic principles of Traumatology apart from routine minor surgical procedures such as extractions, removal of grossly decayed tooth, different grades of Impacted wisdom tooth, alveoloplasty, incision and drainage of space infections, cyst enucleations and soft tissue lesions with surgical implications. She is also proficient in handling children with Cleft related Speech and Functional abnormalities. She has attended comprehensive Hands-on workshops on varied aspects of Maxillofacial advancements such as AOCMF Principles of trauma, Distraction Osteogenesis and Maxillofacial oncology. Surgeon's career graph includes fundamental training in anaesthesia and general surgery concepts from Meenakshi Ammal Medical Hospital, worked previously as a Trainee in Nitte Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery Unit, also worked in the Maxillofacial unit of Government Medical Hospital (Kerala). She has also conducted Research Dissertations on Condylar fractures and its implications and on Dental & Craniofacial Implants along with several scientific poster and paper presentations on subjects of clinical interest. She is also a certified member of Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI).
