Dr. Shanthala has completed her studies from prestigious universities- undergraduation from Bangalore Medical College and postgraduation from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. She has passed out with distinctions in various subjects and was the recipient of the ‘Jeevan Latha Memorial Medal’ for the best out-going Post-graduate in Delhi University. She has also received training in Infertility, Coploscopy and Ultrasound in Dubai and London, UK. She has over 25 years of experience as ObGyn in India and abroad. She has served in Charitable, private and Government sectors in India and worked for Excel Health Care LLC in Dubai, UAE. Her areas of interest include High Risk Pregnancies, Adolescent Health, Infertility, Menopausal Care and Community Services for improving Women’s health. Having written chapters for medical textbooks, she is also a published bilingual writer (Kannada and English) of fiction, non-fiction, newspaper columns and articles for various magazines.
