About Dr Sarju Mathew

Dr Sarju Mathew graduated from St Johns Medical College in Bangalore and obtained MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from PGI, Chandigarh. After that he completed his senior residency from JIPMER, Pondichery. He continued his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in UK and gained further expertise in operative gynaecology and completed his CCT in 2008 with special skill modules in Laparoscopic surgery and Gynaecology scanning. He is a member of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, International Continence Society and British Society for Colposcopy and cervical Pathology. He has versatile skills and experience in minimal access surgery (laparoscopy), Uro-gynaecological procedures, and Gynaecological Oncology management. He was the expert for Laser laparoscopic management of endometriosis including ablation and excision for the North Glasgow Hospitals for last 8 years. He has been actively contributing to teaching, training and research in Gynaecology and Obstetrics throughout his career and has contributions to publications in cancer screening, management of fibroids, management of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery.
