Dr S D Shamsundar

Dr S.D Shamsundar completed his MBBS from M S Ramiah Medical college, Bangalore and MD (Radiation Oncology) from the prestigious King George Medical University, Lucknow. He has more than 10 years experience in the field of radiation oncology and has worked as faculty and consultant Radiation Oncologist in reputed cancer Centers in Bangalore. He is a visiting Consultant Radiation Oncologist at various premier hospitals in Bangalore including HCG Hospitals, Apollo Hospital, Fortis Hospital, BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital and Bangalore Baptist Hospital. He is working as faculty and consultant in Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore which is a recognised regional cancer center ( RCC ) by government of India. Dr S.D. Shamsundar has numerous publications in national and international journals, and has delivered numerous talks in national and international academic conferences. He is very active in cancer awareness activities and has been part of many cancer screening and early detection camps in collaboration with NGO’s and government. He has a fellowship in advanced radiotherapy techniques including SRS and SBRT from National institute of Oncology, Budapest. He is nominated as Joint Secretary to the National body of Radiation Oncologists, AROI ( Association of RadIation Oncologists of India) And is also the Secretary of the state chapter of AROI. He has recently represented India in the young leaders of Radiation oncology forum, hosted by the Federation of Radiation oncology associations of Asia(FARO 2019 conference) held in Shenzhen, China.
