Dr N. Chandra Shekar

Dr. N. Chandrasekhar has over 40 years experience in clinical, academic and administrative roles at National and International level. After completing his MBBS and MD (General Medicine) from Mysore Medical College, he did his postdoctoral Fellowship training in Gastroenterology from AIIMS, New Delhi. He also attended various training programmes in India and countries like Japan, UK, USA, etc to update himself on best practices in his field of expertise. Dr. Chandrasekhar has been actively involved in research and clinical trials; having published many papers in National and international journals. His area of specialisation include • Gastroenterology • Hepatology • Digestive Ultrasonography • Digestive Laser Therapy • Digestive Motility study, Oesophagial and Anorectal • Diagnostic Digestive Endoscopy • Therapeutic Digestive Endoscopy • Endo- Ultrasonography Dr. Chandrasekhar is credited with starting the Gastroenterology department in prestigious Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, Bangalore which later went on to become the training and academic hub for Govt of Karnataka under his leadership and guidance. He is a member on board of many professional organisations and committees. Dr. Chandrasekhar was an authorised medical attendant to former President of India, Shri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy.
