Today, more women than ever before are having cesarean deliveries, sometimes or more often known as C-sections, which is a medical operation that involves making an incision in the belly and uterus to deliver a baby. If you have previously had a cesarean delivery (C-section), it does not totally guarantee you will have to do it again; instead, you must determine whether to give birth vaginally or not. Many women who have previously had a C-section can surely have vaginal births or deliveries. They can have a vaginal birth after cesarean, known as planned Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC), or just opt for another c-section itself, known as Elective Repeat Caesarean Section (ERCS). There has not been a lot of data on the health risks and results related to VBAC to ERCS until recently.

Multiple pregnancies occur when you are pregnant with more than one child at the same time. Twins are two babies carried in the same womb. Triplets are three babies born at the same time during one pregnancy. You can also carry three or more infants at once (high-order multiples). It usually carries higher hazards than a singleton pregnancy (carrying only one kid). Being pregnant with two infants at the same time is a lot of work, but the payoff is worth it. You may be thinking that if you are expecting several children, you will need to drastically change all your conceptions of pregnancy.

A baby’s heartbeat, known as the fetal heart rate, a baby’s heartbeat is typically between 110 and 160 beats per minute during late pregnancy and labor. The fetal heart rate should be between 120 and 160 during the second trimester and may reach up to 180 beats in the third trimester. Your doctor may use internal or external devices to monitor the fetal heartbeat. Some examples include an ultrasound device, a monitor attached to the baby’s scalp, or even a special cardiograph.
