Dr Kumara Swamy

Dr. Kumara Swamy has done his MBBS from Mysore Medical College, Mysore, DMRT & MD Radiation Oncology from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore and DNB – Radiotherapy from NBE. He is trained in Conformal radiotherapy/HDR Brachytherapy/IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, St. Louis, USA as early as 1998. Further, he has been trained in Image Guided Radio therapy (IGRT) at UCSF, University of IOWA & Morristown Medical Center, New Jersey; Cyberknife Radiotherapy training at Sunnyvale, California. He undertook Tomotherapy training at University of Heidelberg, Germany. He has experience in IMRT, IGRT, SBRT/Radiosurgery for more than 12 years. He has been associated with National Cancer Registry Project - ICMR for more than 30 years and is a member of Research Area Panel of NCDIR (ICMR). He has been working on developing MRI ADC as dynamic predictive model of cancer treatment outcome and Abscopal -Immunological effects of radiation
