Dr Arun Samprathi B.S.

S E H has been set up by Dr Arun Samprathi, a Graduate from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and postgraduate from Government Medical College, Mysore. He then went to the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore & Madurai for senior residency and completed his D.N.B.(Ophthalmology). He later did his Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (Squint) at Aravind Eye Hospital, to acquire skills required to examine and manage Pediatric eye diseases. Subsequently, he was trained in Squint surgeries at Liverpool, UK and passed FRCS (Edinburgh) exams in Ophthalmology in 2002. Dr Samprathi relocated to Bangalore in April 2001 as the first Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Bangalore and is one of the few Pediatric Ophthalmologists & Squint specialists in Bangalore. Dr.Samprathi has performed over 10,000 Suture less cataract surgeries (including the latest technique of Phaco-emulsification & foldable IOL) for adult cataracts. He specializes in cataract surgery without injection or sutures or bandage, currently being done by very few surgeons in Bangalore.He has been actively conducting educational programs for ophthalmologists, Pediatricians, General Physicians, school teachers as well as general public to spread the awareness about childhood eye diseases & squint. He has many publications to his name and has presented many papers. Dr.Samprathi's mission is to provide high quality tertiary care in Pediatricophthalmology, at affordable prices to one & all.
