As a result, he is also an expert in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic procedures in children. He is available for consultation at Columbia Asia Hospitals, Hebbal and also in Yeshwantpura to cover emergency cases. His commitment to bringing advanced and expert care to children is clear from the accolades he has received in this field - the Lorimer Dodd - Excellence in Surgical Teaching Award by the University of Sydney for 2 consecutive years. His commitment to his profession caused him to be at the forefront of relief activities, leading a medical team in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands following the Tsunami. He has an active interest in ethical issues especially related to prenatal care and long-term care of children and the protection of child rights. As an active Pediatric Surgeon, Dr. Antony has authored many publications in peer-reviewed journals; and contributed chapters in the textbook Pediatric Surgery, edited by Dr. DK Gupta, New Delhi. He has also has co-written a chapter in the textbook of Pediatric Nephrology.
