Dr. Anantha Lakshmi is a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the People Tree Hospitals, Bangalore. She has an MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has also pursued her MRCOG and DFFP from the UK. She did her MRCGP in the Year 2009. Dr. Lakshmi has worked with many prominent names in India and in the UK and has held positions of importance. She has worked at St. Martha's Hospital as a Senior House Officer. She has also worked as a Registrar at St. Philomena's Hospital, Bangalore. At the Royal Gwent Hospital, United Kingdom, she has worked as a clinical fellow and also as registrar. For about three years she worked at the Cardiff and CWM TAFF IHB, UK. She worked here as a GP with special interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lakshmi has undertaken many courses that has added to her skill and expertise. She has undergone a training in cognitive behavioral therapy. She did a minor surgery course in the year 2008 and has also taken extensive training in adult CPR and AED. She holds a Diploma in Diabetes from the university of Glamorgan, UK. Dr. Lakshmi has undergone a special training in family medicine from the UK and is one of the few doctors to be trained in this area. She has many publications and written works to her credit. She presented a paper on “the role of Tramadol for Pain Relief in Labor and its effects on progress of Labor” to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in connection with her MD program. Her seminars and presentations also stand out because of the excellent manner in which she presents her ideas.
