Dr Abhishek Patil

Dr. Abhishek is a well-trained and qualified rheumatologist. He did his MBBS from the prestigious KIMS, Hubli in the year 2010. He later moved to Delhi to pursue his higher education. During his postgraduate training in Medicine, he got a first hand experience of treating the rheumatological diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Understanding the unmet needs of rheumatology in India, he developed a special interest in towards the subject. He did his DNB Rheumatology training at Indraprastha Apollo hospitals, Delhi. He was also keen on the application of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK-USG) in the management of rheumatic diseases. Dr. Abhishek was trained in MSK-USG under stalwarts of the field; Dr. Antonio Bouffard and Dr. Fernando Jimenez. Post his DNB Rheumatology, he worked in the widely reputed CMC (Christian Medical college), Vellore. Apart from the various outpatient and inpatient services, he was also involved in training of rheumatology fellows. Furthermore, he has a number of publications in national and international journals.
